A 17 year old kid joined the Army. He went to war and became a bad ass. That's the end of that part of the story. This young man met a girl. Shortly after he became a Dad, you can fill in the rest. It's when this bad ass left the Army that our real story begins. Without a real career track many Veterans are confused about how to make it in the civilian world. A smart move is to continue education and get a degree. That's what this young man did. In doing so, he became the primary care giver to his children while he aided his wife (the girl) in starting her own successful small business.
That's when an amazing discovery was made. Men can be incredible domestic engineers. Yet, modern society still does not give the human male credit for being able to raise a family. Furthermore, the marketing machine that runs our world leaves Dads in the dust when it comes to necessary resources required for Men to do their job effectively. This leaves many Fathers either conforming to the 'Mrs. Doubtfire' life of a Mother, or simply neglecting household responsibilities and involvement all together. The young man in this story found these options to be unacceptable.
Hence, the birth of DAD LIKE A MAN: the bad ass domestic engineer's association. We are a manly movement that embraces the roll of a Father and will not except the stereotypes placed on the American home. We appreciate that a woman can do any job in the workforce and we want everyone to know that a man can do any job in the household. We are Dads. We are Men. We are bad Asses.
